In real estate, many states have stricter laws prohibiting discrimination.  The Federal Laws, under the Fair Housing Act makes it unlawful to discriminate because of: race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, or handicap.  If you believe you have been discriminated against, talk to state or federal officials or an attorney.
