In real estate a house sitting on the market for a long time can be the ‘kiss of death’. Many sellers, and real estate agents, believe that you can take it off the market and put it back on and it will look like a new listing and drive traffic; however, a good buyer’s agent will also look at the history of the property and see that it has been on and off the market possibly raising red flags.
When listing a property the best action you can take is to list it close to the selling price thereby generating traffic from serious buyers.
If you are thinking of buying or selling, talk to a REALTOR who can give you the information you need to make an informed decision.
