Did you know that…

The highest point in Pennsylvania is lower than the lowest point in Colorado.

That annoying sound a mosquito makes is the same sound most American car horns beep at – the key of F.

In the movie ‘The Wizard of Oz’, Dorothy’s last name is Gail (as in Gale).  You can see the name on the mail box.

Mark Twain’s novel ‘Tom Sawyer’ was the first novel written on a typewriter.

The Morse Code signal for distress, S.O.S. does not stand for “Save Our Ship” or “Save Our Souls” as many people believe.  The signal S.O.S. was chosen simply because of the ease of sending the code.  ‘S’ is three dots and ‘O’ is three dashes.  It was easy to send and easy to recognize.

An American actress of great fame is Caryn Elaine Johnson.  We know her as Whoopi Goldberg!

In real estate, the largest group of homebuyers’ is the ‘Millennials’.  Millennials’ are those people who were generally born between 1980 to the mid 1990’s – early 2000’s.  Although many people believe that Millennials’ are not inclined to purchase homes, statistics show that 45% of mortgages are by Millennials’.  Two factors that are often times holding Millennials’ back on buying a home are the cost of homes increasing since the rebound of the 2008 housing crisis and student loans.
